“The term ‘Takbeer,’ which means “God is great” and is based on one of the main pillars of Islam, has now become one of the indicators of terror attacks”, Abdulaziz Khuraibet wrote for Al-Shahed daily.
“Last year, the police force of Manchester City
in Britain apologized for the use of the term “Al-
lah-o-Akbar” (God is Great) during a training ses-
sion that simulated fighting a terror attack inside a
shopping mall in one of the suburbs of the city. It
had received several criticisms for the use of that
term.
“Deputy Head of that police force, whose identity was not disclosed, explained that the scenario for the training was a suicide attack carried out by one of the members of DAESH terrorist organization. During the training, the police force realized that the use of the term “Allah-o-Akbar” is unaccepta- ble because it links Islam to terrorism, due to which they apologized.
“Every Friday, the whole world waits to hear or see unpleasant news about terror attacks in some part of the world because terrorists and criminals usually take advantage of occasions to carry out at- tacks. Social media recently reported that the Head of Paris Police announced the individual who at- tacked the soldier at Louvre Museum had shouted “Allah-o-Akbar” before carrying out the attack.”
